What we do
Restoration-grade finishing on aluminum.
Surface integrity, finish consistency and the mechanical understanding to back it up — restoration-grade finishing for builders, restoration shops and collectors who want OEM-level results.
Services
Engine cases & full engines
Disassembled aluminum only — cases, jugs and covers brought back to factory-correct.
Carburetors & intake
Carb bodies and intake cleaned of fuel varnish and oxidation without harming jets or surfaces.
Covers, housings & brackets
Side covers, points covers and mechanical brackets returned to an even satin finish.
Precision cleaning & prep
Prep for rebuilt or aging aluminum — clean surfaces without altering critical tolerances.
Specialty focus
Vintage & restoration-grade work.
Restoration work is where the shop earns its name — jobs where preserving the surface matters as much as cleaning it. Casting texture stays; oxidation, staining and contamination come fully off.
- Heavily oxidized castings
- Show & concours standards
- OEM-correct surfaces
- Tolerances preserved

Platforms we know
We regularly work parts from classic and performance platforms — and we know how they go back together.
The process
How a part moves through the shop.
Assess & mask
Inspect condition; protect threads, bores and critical mating surfaces before blasting.
Vapor blast
Media suspended in water lifts oxidation and contamination while preserving cast texture.
Rinse & passivate
Full rinse and surface treatment to stabilize the aluminum and prevent flash oxidation.
Inspect & return
Final finish check, then packaged for pickup or protected return shipping.
Drop-off, shipping & handling
Local bench or mailed in — same care.
Drop-off runs by appointment in Red Hook; mail-in work arrives from across the region. Every remote job gets packaging and shipping guidance in both directions.
